Initially I purchased an oversized tool backpack with the notion that I needed to carry with me as many tools as possible can. I quickly discovered that a 70lbs stuffed tool backpack isn't great for my back; especially when the hard plastic shell base grinds on my lower back. I needed to make a quick change and then I discovered this Klein Tool Backpack. It's heavy-duty without a hard plastic shell base. The medium size backpack forced me to focus on carrying essential tools and supplies instead of trying to carry every tool I own. It has enough pockets for storage. The back padding is ample. It stands upright independently. The zippers are heavy duty. I like the fact that I can unzip the bag all the way down to the base of the bag which exposes all of the bag's content. The double handles are awesome because they allow me to conveniently grab-and-go even while the bag is fully unzipped. I'll never attempt to carry my tool shop on my back again. All I need are the essentials for the job. I prefer taking that walk back to the truck for a tool rather than ruining my back. I also carry with me a small handheld tool bag as an overflow. I rarely have to take that walk back to the truck because I focus on carrying essentials for the job. If I had to pick at least one flaw the backpack has I would have to say the lack of a tape measure clip. Otherwise it's a great backpack.Of course being the Klein brand it’s going to have a matching price tag, however, you are getting what you pay for. This bag has all the durability you could ask for from the thick, robust fabric outside, to the heavy thread used in all the stitching or the feel of the heavy duty zipper that has a very satisfying feel.The bottom is waterproof and The rest is water resistant which I have put to the test and it was successful. There are more than enough pockets to accommodate a wide variety of hand tools which is perfect for small to medium projects. The only downside is the size. While it has ample space for small hand tools or parts the backpack does not have space to help carry things like a drill or reciprocating saw, oscillating multi tool, etc. which would be a huge benefit in making this a perfect portable backpack. It’s this fact that makes me give it 3 of 5 stars for the value for the money. At this price point it would be a plus to have space for more than just hand tools in the main compartment.Fits all my essential tools, made with durable material, zippers are good. Straps are strong. Bag does feel heavy filled with tools, but with the load being supported by your back, instead of hanging on one shoulder, I can walk the whole day with it on my back, no issues with back pain at the end of the day. Good purchase.Overall this is a good tool bag, plenty of space for most my tools. Only issue is the lack of smaller pen loops for smaller bits. I ended up using the top small pocket but that pocket is a soft pocket with a Velcro closure. If the bag tips or the top pocket gets inverted when the main section is opened, everything in that pocket could fall out if not careful.not enough room for a drill, not even my 12vWorks great for my husband. It holds at least 74 pounds of tools!Very good quality!! and the fast shipping from USBeen holding up for months now, I'm wary to move the tools to release tension on zipper, but at over 50lbs of weight it's holding up fine.
