Description

Stir and pour homemade marinara sauce over pasta with this two-piece Lazy Spoon and Lazy Ladle set in blue from Rachael Ray. Ideal for preparing and serving soups, sauces, stews, and rice and pasta dishes, the stirring spoon and ladle are crafted in high-grade silicone. The silicone construction offers comfortable handles to grip and allows the user to scrape out a dish's very last bite from the corners of a stockpot without the risk of scratching the cookware. Pre-installed notches halfway down both pieces' handles enable the spoon and ladle to securely perch on a saucepan's rim between uses while cooking. Instead of encountering accidental drips or a need to set the soiled spoon or ladle down on a countertop, the two utensils' heads hover over the dish in question to avoid creating a mess. I have given these to 5 other family members as gifts. The ladle and spoon are sturdy, heat resistance, and easy to clean. The notch in them so it can be left on the pan is a bonus.Love themLike the fact that you can set them on the pots or pans and they stay putHeavy duty will last forever probably lolThe spoons are very sturdy and strong. Holds up to all temperature. This spoon is very easy to clean.Use it for soup n spaghetti. N I love thr gripI bought these spoons in orange in 2016. They've held up beautifully. I use the solid serving spoon so often that I bought another in the marine blue (teal) that came with the slotted spoon too.I love that they are a one piece solid design. I've had other utensils that either broke or got mold in between layers because they were made as a 2 piece head and handle. These are completely coated with material and no gaps for food to get trapped and mold.I love the bright orange color and the "lazy" rest concept but some of my pans actually have a curved lip around the edge and these won't slip easily on/off that lip. They work fine on my Rachael Ray stainless steel pot set.The handles are sturdy and do not bend when you stir or scoop with these. Washing is a breeze, most things come off the silicone so easily and they're dishwasher safe. The ladle is the thing I have the main problem with. It is okay, but most of the time I use a ladle, I've got a deep pot full of some kind of sauce or soup. This ladle has no angle at the spoon head/bowl. It comes straight off the handle. Most ladles angle at the end so you can hold the handle almost straight up and down and scoop from the bottom. This is designed more like an ice cream scoop only huge and bulky at the end. What that means for you is if you are trying to serve something like soup you have to scoop from the side at an angle. It can't get down to the bottom of a pot. The head is not flexible either which is great when it is full of hot liquid but not so great when this not angled not flexible spoon goes into a deep pot to get the last few scoops of sauce or soup.I'm including a photo of this ladle next to another I own to show the difference in angle.I too am left-handed and the angle of the ladle is weird. The serving spoon is more straight.I'm very disappointed in the shape of the ladle but I love the other solid spoon so I gave the set 3 stars.I use these spoons all the time! They are so versatile! You can place them on the pots while cooking! Love the red color! Will definitely recommend!Love the way these utensils fit in my hand. It is very handy to be able to hang them from the pot or frying pan for stirring and sautéing.I've been looking for this ladle for years. Unfortunately, I couldn't order it off Rachael Ray's actual website, because they wouldn't deliver to CANADA. That's nuts considering how many Canadian fans she has. Tsk Tsk Tsk. Anyway, I finally saw it on Amazon.CA and went for it. Didn't really need the extra spoon, because i already have it, but what the hell. The ladle is great, by the way :)What do I like about these? The ladle holds a pretty good volume of fluid, and its bowl is set at a more manageable angle to its handle. So you can fill soup bowls and storage containers without an awkward bending of the wrist, and it's easier to store in a drawer. The spoon does an excellent job of stirring and folding, and you get almost the same level of tactile feedback as you would from an equivalent-sized wooden spoon. There's less of a "give" than you would get from a rubber spatula, and certainly less "flex" along the handle. While I think the built-in lip rests are gimmicky, I don't find that they get in the way of the hands for normal use. They do work on the straight vertical edge of saucepans; for sloped edges of skillets, not so much.I purchased some of her products a few years ago for my grandaughter when she moved into her new home and she loves them and she said they still look like new. I bought these in a different color for my son and daughter-in-law's kitchen where I also live and also do some cooking.Good solid cooking tools. Love that they can balance off the edge of the pot/pan you’re cooking with so there is less mess on the counter. Great products!I am very happy with this set! It's sturdy and the spoon and ladle stay well put on the side of my pans. It's easy to clean and I feel it will last. Those are not cheaply made like a lot of sets that I bought in the past.
